Georgina Gwynne

Georgina is the Principal Dentist at Gwynne Dental. Qualifying in 2003 from Bristol University she went on to work in the NHS for 5 years in Andover and then London performing all areas of general dentistry.

Subsequently she has worked in London privately and then full time at Gwynne Dental and has gained particular interests in Cosmetic Dentistry, Root Canal Treatment, treating Periodontal Disease, restoring implants and all areas of general dentistry.

She has 2 young children and enjoys showing horses, sailing, running and tennis.

Richard Lilleker

Richard went to the University of Manchester graduating in 2005. Richard has considerable experience in both NHS and private dentistry. As your dentist Richard’s goal is to ensure you remain completely comfortable throughout your experience. He always discusses any proposed treatment in plain language, not technical jargon and strives for the highest quality dentistry with the least patient discomfort. He likes to involve patients in treatment planning and decisions, working together as a team to find the solutions to their dental problems that will work best for them. It is a cliché but he really does treat every patient as he would wish to be treated himself.

His particular areas of interest include preventative and ‘minimal intervention’ dentistry which reduce the need for the more invasive treatments and look towards maintaining a healthy mouth for life. He has experience in all areas of general dentistry including orthodontics and implants, and can cater for all ages.

Now living in Old Basing, most of his spare time is spent with the family or renovating the house and garden. He loves the outdoors, especially camping and biking. He is also involved in local politics and is a Parent Governor at Old Basing Infant School.

Xenia Bolger

Xenia qualified as a dentist in 2005 and continued her education with the Royal College of Surgeons in restorative dentistry. She is an extremely capable and experienced dentist with a fine attention to detail and welcoming, kind, gentle manner with patients.  

Xenia has a passion for facial aesthetics and has been working as an aesthetic practitioner as well as a dental surgeon in London including Harley Street for over 10 years.

Lily Webb

After graduating with Honours from Cardiff in 2021 Lily spent a year working in the NHS.  

She joined Gwynne Dental in September 2022 and is already an essential part of the team.

Leigh Sherwell

GDC 205254, Lead Dental Nurse

Leigh has been dental nursing since 2009. She joined us in August 2012 and has become a valued member of the team being our lead nurse. Leigh works alongside Georgina and assists in Implant Nursing with Martin Murray. She is also our qualified first aider and Infection Control lead. Leigh brings extensive nursing experience and has a wonderful calming effect on patients with her gentle manner.

Shalina Thapa

Shalina qualified as a dental nurse in 2016, and is experienced in NHS and private practice. She enjoys the high level of responsibility required for the role and is particularly skilled in the logistical and clinical organisation of complex cases. She especially enjoys seeing patient’s joyous reaction to their new smile. She works alongside Richard Lilleker and her high level of professionalism makes for the smooth running of her surgery.

Shalina is fluent in Nepalese and able to converse in Hindi, and provides translation services.

She is passionate about Nepalese and Asian cuisine, and the rest of the team love when she does a work lunch!

Freya Miller 

Freya joined our team in 2021 and has become an invaluable member of our Gwynne dental family. She is currently studying for her NEBDN exams. Freya enjoys kickboxing and spending time with her family and friends.

Sarah Davies

Sarah has been a dental nurse since the age of 17. She has worked for over 25 years including 17 years at the emergency dental services for Hampshire and the surrounding areas. Sarah has qualified in Dental Hygiene RCS from the Eastman Dental Hospital London and brings her years of experience to her position as our Hygienist offering preventative advice and treatment for oral health in a supportive and informative manner. She is both gentle and effective at producing fantastic results in treating periodontal disease.

Martin Murray

After graduating with Honours from Trinity College Dublin in 1991, Martin moved to Hampshire and worked in general practice for many years. He retrained as an Implantologist, gaining a postgraduate diploma and Masters degree from Bristol University.

He provides a visiting implant service for several practices with a special interest in bone grafting, trauma management and helping patients achieve functional cosmetic alternatives to missing teeth. He lectures and trains dental teams in dental implants and is member of the International Team for Implantology and is their study club director for Hampshire. He is an Expert Advisor on dentistry for the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). He lives near Winchester with his wife and three daughters. Away from dentistry, Martin is a GB international modern triathlete. After winning World Open Championships in Biathle and Triathle in 2017, he went on to lead GB Elite Masters Mens and Mixed Relay teams to World Championship silver medals in the Olympic core sport of Combined Laser Run.

Jennifer Miller DHP

Jen joined the Practice in February 2015 and is our full time practice manager and our Clinical Hypnotherapist, having qualified in 2022 Jen provides valuable support and hypnotherapy for our nervous or anxious patients. Jen qualified as a dental nurse in 1999 and has over 20 years of experience. She has since gained further qualifications in Orthodontics, Oral Health Education, Implant Nursing and Impression Taking. She is a confident highly motivated member of the team who enjoys interactions with our patients and has a good understanding of the patient’s needs and concerns. She is likely to answer the phone or respond to emails to the practice when you call, her top priority to put patients interests first.

Claire Stainton James

Claire joined Gwynne Dental in 2017 and is a highly regarded and valued member of our team. She has a wonderful rapport with patients on reception and will be only too happy to help with any queries you have. She is in charge of our social media and business development as well as chairing practice meetings and working with Jen to ensure best practice is achieved.
