Referrals

We offer a referral service for endodontics, implant placement and restoration and wisdom tooth/surgical extraction under local anaesthetic.

Both Georgina Gwynne BDS (Bristol) and Richard Lilleker BDS (Manchester) have a special interest in endodontics but are not specialists. They are constantly updating their knowledge in this area and have all the equipment required to carry out root canal treatments and re root canal treatments including a clinical microscope. Very high success rates are achieved as shown by regular audits. With prices kept to under £500 for a molar RCT we believe this is a value for money service. A temporary filling or Nyar core can be placed following the RCT.

Martin Murray BA, BDent Sc (Ireland), DPDS (UK), MSc (Dental Implantology) (UK)

After graduating with Honours from Trinity College Dublin in 1991, Martin moved to Hampshire and worked in general practice for many years. He retrained as an Implantologist, gaining a postgraduate diploma and Masters degree from Bristol University.

He provides a visiting implant service for us at Gwynne Dental and has a special interest in bone grafting, trauma management and helping patients achieve functional cosmetic alternatives to missing teeth. He lectures and trains dental teams in dental implants and is member of the International Team for Implantology and is their study club director for Hampshire. He is an Expert Advisor on dentistry for the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).

Martin is able to undertake general extractions as well as surgical lower wisdom teeth and all aspects of implant placement and restoration.
