Being prepared for the coronavirus epidemic

As coronavirus continues to disrupt on a global scale, we would like to reassure you that as always we are here for you and shall continue to act to ensure the health and safety of our patients and staff. We are checking the government coronavirus website and the NHS website on an hourly basis to ensure we are following the most up to date advice.

We are accustomed to decontamination procedures and the dental surgery is cleaned with alcohol wipes throughout the day, this includes all door handles, the card machine, reception desk, waiting room and toilets. All patients are asked to use the hand sanitiser that is available both as you enter the building and on the reception desk.

All our treatment rooms are wiped down and sanitised between each patients as standard procedure.

As the situation develops, we will need to respond to changing advice, possibly on a daily basis. We will continue to provide care with a proportionate response. As part of this, we would ask any patient who has cold or flu like symptoms to cancel their appointment and follow the government advice.

If you are self isolating and have dental concerns, on of our team will be glad to have a discussion with you on the phone. Clearly this wont be able to deal with everything but we hope we may be able to provide reassurance in many situations.

All of us at Gwynne Dental understand that this is a rapidly changing and stressful time for everyone, and that too much information can be overwhelming. If you have any queries or concerns about either our advice or the governments you are very welcome to call the practice for further clarification. Should any major changes occur, we will be sure to update you.
